DeLance — A Fully Decentralized Freelance Marketplace on ICP
DeLance is a trustless freelance marketplace built entirely on the Internet Computer Protocol. All logic, payments, reputation, and contracts live on-chain — no central authority, no middlemen, no custody of your funds.
What it does: Clients post jobs, freelancers submit proposals, and work is tracked on-chain through a Time Tracker and Proof-of-Work Logs. Payments are held in a smart contract escrow and released milestone by milestone. Once a job completes, a 72-hour clearance window opens before funds auto-settle — giving both sides time to raise a dispute if needed.
Key features:
Passwordless login via Internet Identity
On-chain escrow with instant, trustless payments
Sovereign freelancer reputation — your ratings belong to you, not a platform
Two-sided reviews and a public leaderboard
2.5% platform fee per release (vs. 20%+ on Upwork)
Single profile — post jobs and apply for jobs with the same account
Fully mobile and desktop compatible, PWA-ready
Why it matters: Existing freelance platforms are centralized intermediaries that can freeze accounts, hold funds, and take large cuts. DeLance removes all of that — the contract is the code, and the code runs on ICP.
