We think that the idea behind ic-http is valid and should be discussed with the CNS team in the next meeting.
We also propose to add a TLD to the naming scheme for canister names, e.g., cid for canister-ic, which indicates that the names are canister names and not registered names.
The WG meeting of Tuesday, October 8 is cancelled because of the unavailability of a key community contributor and myself, hence the agenda item planned for this meeting cannot be discussed.
I’m on a train during the call slot and will try to join, but the connection may not be the best.
Update: I’ll be in a mountainous area with bad reception and lots of tunnels and probably won’t be able to reasonably join.
As discussed in the WG meeting two weeks ago, we are assessing the situation of the people who have been driving the WG not having enough bandwidth currently to progress the technical agenda of the group.
The meeting of tomorrow is not taking place as no progress has been made on the current ICRCs that the group is working on, for exactly the reason of available time.
I will update you once we have a decision on how to move forward with the group or when the core group members again have time to progress the group’s work.
@gatsby_esp Ironic statements like this are not helpful, unless you imply with it that you want to become a key contributor to the WG and help drive the work forward. The community is as important as the foundation in working on standards, much like in any other ecosystem. So, if you are unhappy with the situation, we invite you to step forward and help progress the work of the NFT Working Group actively instead of just commenting.
