At least you should had removed example users, clicking one will result in endless loop of query calls.
As its mock data, most likely you have not even built backend to it.
Nice work on building a WhatsApp‑like messaging app using Caffeine AI offering the full source code for sale really helps others learn from your implementation! It would be interesting to hear more about how you handled real‑time messaging, encryption/ security, and scalability on Caffeine. Also curious whether you’re planning updates like voice/video features or integrations with other ICP ecosystem tools. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!
Unlike OpenChat, which focuses on social-network-style feeds, our app is a private, WhatsApp-grade decentralized messenger — purpose-built for personal communication and media sharing. It features WhatsApp-level UX, 500 MB file support, voice notes, community control, and mobile‑optimized performance. Built on ICP with Motoko smart contracts, it ensures true privacy and ownership, providing a powerful Web3-native alternative designed for seamless everyday use.
Thanks for reporting this. There were some bugs and errors in the previous version of the app. We’ve now fixed them and released an update. Messaging should work easily and smoothly now. Please try again and let us know if you face any other issues.
I’m not a very strong developer, and this project was something I built mainly for learning and fun. What I focused on most was the UI, UX, and overall product idea, especially how it works smoothly on PC and its real-world use cases.
I’m selling it for $50 because it can be a strong starting point for developers who already have solid technical skills and want to take it further—optimize the backend, scale it, add features, and potentially build it to a WhatsApp-level product.
For me, it’s about sharing a well-designed foundation rather than running and scaling the product myself.
