@quint did you ever try building TinyGo from source to WASM all within a canister? Are there any resources you would point to (or lessons learnt) for someone who’d like to look into doing this?

Well said @jokerswild , any project that helps bring more usage of ICP is a good thing IMO.
It must make is super easy for businesses and entrepreneurs running Wordpress sites and blogs to port across to ICP.
If this tool makes it super easy for anyone to restore their existing Wordpress website with their SEO, shopping cart and other plugins etc to fully run on ICP infrastructure without them knowing the foundation architecture has changed, that will be a HUGE game changer.

Well! Two things: trust and risks!
ICP is expanding everywhere, AI development, ERP, HR, SaaS, and the likelihood of them eventually delivering a CMS with the AI-powered migration capabilities they’ve announced seems increasingly high. ICP appears to be moving toward bringing virtually every type of system into its infrastructure. ICP is getting less developer friendly…
At the same time, AI now makes it much easier to build the security and privacy capabilities I care about directly, rather than forcing an entire system into ICP and accepting all the constraints that come with it.
I guess if security and privacy are the things that are important to you, it’s definitely true that you don’t need ICP.
If it’s trust-minimisation, decentralisation of power, transparency, and verifiability, there’s no better place to build (in many cases no other place at all).
In an increasingly AI-powered world, all of the points above are going to come into sharper and sharper focus.

PHP is way too inefficient to scale on the IC anyway. Plus, do you know what that stuff does to kids?!
