But Krista Mehr uses multiple shell companies, why are you going to adopt that proposal? She’s a real estate agent doesn’t have a clue about server farms.

Actually @LaCosta @louisevelayo I would talk to @katiep before casting your vote. She has additional information on this NP

I’m open to new information all the time. If @katiep has relevant information regarding this NP I would be more than open to hear before voting on further proposals.

I have already voted on this proposal but will refrain from voting on proposal 136031 if you say DFINITY might have conclusive information on this.

Thank you for providing additional information, would have helped little sooner since we tend to cast a vote in a 48 hour window on the proposals submitted, the reasoning to adopt the proposal is sound at the time of writing since it has all the requirements that are in place at the moment. I know you are very busy and wouldn’t want to disturb you every time a proposal is submitted that we are voting on if we are allowed to do so. If @katiep and or @alexu has any official statement to back up your claims we will be most happy to comply.

I’m sorry, but I haven’t ever met this particular NP, and I don’t know anything more than what is in the wiki.

I am in full support of deepening the requirements for NPs after community discussion, and then giving them a period of time to meet the new requirements. However, this NP met the requirements as stated at the time when they were approved. They also meet the currently-approved requirements for this node:

  • They have an approved NP principal and NO principal.
  • The node in question is active in the dashboard.

I think that, for the stability of the IC, we need to be careful to distinguish between currently-aproved requirements and proposed improvements for the future.

Thanks for the clarification. That should solve any suspicion raised by those posts.

Proposal 136368 – LaCosta | CodeGov

Vote: ADOPT

The proposal decreases the type1.1 rewardable_nodes of Node Operator 5bnm2 from 22 to 21 since node qccxj went down and a part had to be replaced, and therefore it had to be redeployed.

Inline with the intent from the NO to migrate to the HSM-less deployment method that has been an optional but recommended step as part of the Steps for Gen-1 Node onboarding after 48 months, it is now controlled by a new NO 2psns for this kind of nodes. It’s current Node ID is gyw3i

Proposal 136369 – LaCosta | CodeGov

Vote: ADOPT

The proposal increases the type1.1 rewardable_nodes of Node Operator 2psns from 4 to 7 in order to include more nodes from the ph1 DC.

This proposal follows proposal 136368 that with proposal 135662 reduced the rewards of Node Operator 5bnm2 by 2 in total and with an additional node this is inline with this proposal’s increase.

Currently the Node Provider MI Servers has 4 Node Operators, two for each data center according to the HSM-less migration of it’s nodes, this NOs are 5bnm2 (HSM) and 2psns (HSM-less) both for ph1 DC, and tcn4t (HSM) and 4kxqv (HSM-less) both for st1 DC. Combining the node rewards of this Node Operator’s with the proposed increases and decreases from the previous proposal we have 5bnm2, type1.1: 21, 2psns, type1.1: 7, tcn4t, type1.1: 12 and 4kxqv, type1.1: 2 which combined add up to 42 which is the maximum amount for Gen1 nodes.

Proposal 136368 – Louise | Aviate Labs
Vote: ADOPT
Review:
The proposal increases the type1.1 rewardable_nodes of Node Operator 5bnm2 from 22 to 21 in the PH1 DC.

  • Using the public dashboard API, it can be verified that there are only 21 nodes with under the NO 5bnm2 :white_check_mark:

The reason for this reductions is because the node qccxj was redeployed using the non-HSM based NO that was adopted in proposal 135034. By doing this reduction, it more accurately represents the number of rewardable nodes under this NO record.

Proposal #136368 — Zack | CodeGov

Vote: Adopted
Reason
Node Provider MI Servers decreases rewardable _nodes for NO 5bnm2 from 22 to 21. This is in line with the recommended HSM less migration. It also has a very detailed description in the summary.

The second proposal updates rewardable_nodes to 7 for NO 2psns and again it provides a very detailed description in the summary.

The DFINITY Foundation is going to vote ADOPT on proposal 136438.

The DFINITY Foundation considers node providers the bedrock of the Internet Computer ecosystem. We value their continued efforts to maintain a secure, reliable, decentralized network. Attempts to pressure or intimidate node providers - whether through activist campaigning or trying to swing DAO voting to block proposals that restore broken nodes - are counterproductive and not in the spirit of open, decentralized governance. We urge all participants to engage respectfully and constructively in the proposal process.
