While i liked the idea of a working wordpress on the IC at first but then came caffeine, we should be focusing more on replacing it and not rebuild it to work on the IC. I see most ideas nowadays are how can we build succesful web2 ideas on the IC, we need to cut lose from that. I’m just an observer though so i applaud all ideas nontheless as it is excting to see people trying to build and push the IC.
I believe we need more plugins and templates for Caffeine.ai, so that it replaces the need for wordpress, shopify and the likes. For example ICpay, that should become a plugin with Caffeine to make webshops a breeze and then you can market the security aspect. Same with the domainname, great step forward for caffeine to becoming this all in one tool.
Ideally, I completely agree however in reality humans are creatures of habit and to get people over to web3, you must first allow them to port their software over with the least amount of friction.
The learning curve is quite high for most as is the amount of work and they just won’t see the benefits (at least at present).
How long did it take WordPress to develop to its current state and obtain this much market saturation?
Unless you are going to put together a WordPress CMS clone specifically for ICP that can port over web2 WP sites at the click of a button, a solution like this actually would substantially matter imho.
