Thank you for the bug report. The team is investigating in collaboration with Jordan to track down the root cause. At this point we’re confident this issue does not affect mainnet.

It seems this bug was introduced after dfx 0.15.3-largewasm.0. I can deploy locally just fine with that version, but as soon as I switch to dfx 0.16.0-beta.0 or dfx 0.16.0 it breaks.

Thanks for the bug report @lastmjs , it’s really helpful to have you testing out the dfx beta releases. The issue has been fixed here so there won’t be any problems with installing large Wasms on mainnet. The fix should be included in dfx in the next release.

Since 0.17.0 contains a breaking change we decided to exclude the breaking change and release a minor version bump that also includes the fixed replica: Dfx 0.16.1 is promoted
