Just in case somebody finds this via google: setting up Internet Identity locally has since become easier, see the example here.

Hi all, I have a question about the local setup of the II. I follow the guide for useing-dev-build internet-identity/demos/using-dev-build at main · dfinity/internet-identity · GitHub.
My problem is to register a new Internet Identity, I can not complete the step 2 complete captcha.
There is no captcha to insert, see the screen attached. Thanks for any hint to get rid of that issue. Thanks.
After a while I got this error:
We couldn’t reach Internet Identity
We failed to call the Internet Identity service, please try again.
