Hi everyone, I’m 0xdorifto from Lisbon, Portugal!
I first got involved with the Internet Computer during the “Build on ICP Portugal Hackathon,” which was the inaugural ICP hackathon here in Portugal, organized by the local ICP hub (@tiago89). During the event, my team and I developed a lending protocol that won first place! It was also where we discovered Bitfinity, the EVM Bitcoin Layer 2 on ICP. That sparked the idea to fork AAVE on Bitfinity, enabling EVM DeFi users to access new assets like ICP tokens and Bitcoin Runes, and also creating the first lending protocol on ICP.
We successfully applied for a community grant and have been working on the project, Lendfinity, for a few months now, which is set to be launched soon. Additionally, I participated in another hackathon organized by the hub and the Open Internet Summer, hosted by @Seb. For that, I built an MVP for an EVM-based dynamic NFT platform based on DFINITY’s requests for startup, although that project is currently on hold.
