Dragginz Dataworld Progress Update

I will fight negativity with positivity! I will see the best in everyone. And I will give people the benefit of the doubt. And there’s nothing you can do about it!

Bad @anon98822045 please stop spamming and stay on topic.
Happy @Mico?

this must be why luke dugdale is still on the payroll

@anon98822045 and @Thyassa Great update and Dragginz actually looks extremely promising.

How will Dragginz be monetized btw?

Is there going to be a monthly fee or only in-game purchases or something similar?

Will everything be charged in ICP?

Free to play supported by NFT purchases.

I want a Fiery Dragginz Sword :fire: :crossed_swords: :fire:

Congratulations Adam and Donna, you guys made incredible progress on Dragginz. The IC community is truly fortunate to have such innovative, talented and experienced builders like you. Thank you!

The visuals and list of new features is amazing - would be really interested to hear about your application architecture.

Well the back end is all custom, that is why it has taken us so long. We have build the Mimic Framework and a bunch of tools been building a framework and tools that can be repurposed across the whole IC. We also switch from Motoko to Rust pretty early on as we needed more granularity.

We are using Unity for the 3D engine.

At some point I am sure we can get some of the devs to explain what we are doing and how. For now we are just coding like crazy, making the best use of AI developments that we can and gradually hiking our way up that mountain.

When we get to the top, we can launch, then the real fun begins I guess as we can focus on game play, lore, new features because there will a strong foundation to build upon. That is the idea anyway

Thanks for replying Donna - really looking forward to seeing this when it goes live.

Sound very exciting. May I know how big is the team building the games?

So? Is it done? This post turns 1 year old next month. Did you guys even ship anything?

Yes it was a playable test open for a few months. We then realised that there was nothing capable of handling the data we needed to process, nothing to manage multi subnet fleets, and nothing to allow nfts with stored state so paused development while we build those essentials.

Hence

icydb (released, open sourced and frequently updated with new features)

Canic (released, open sourced and frequently updated)

Toko (currently in bug fixing before we enter resilience testing mode)

Along way we also added blob storage, ic-memory and a boat load of other neccessary tools.

Been a very productive year indeed!

Okay so to be clear, there is no product from Dragginz in production, there are zero users.

For the last 5 years you have been postponing the launch? yep that sounds very productive to me.

Can you guys get this launched by 2030? is it doable? Asking because I have few DKP tokens and I’d like to know if the project will be launched or if the goal posts just get moved.

I think you’ll find the best things in life are worth waiting for. If you’ve been disappointed by other projects, it’s probably because they launched too early and didn’t have the discipline to build the appropriate groundwork first (particularly groundwork that is open and shared for others to use too). Dragginz is the opposite, and I’m sure neighsayers like you will eat your words.

Yah. Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes…

You know what actually. What we really need here is something to drink, if you’re asking me.

Toko target launch november, or so I’ve heard.

So just find something you like to sip on till then mate.

whoa, I’m only asking because of the publicly announced launch dates both in this forums and off forums such as X. Seems like civilized discussions isn’t welcome here.

Sorry for pointing out the obvious.

I looked into Toko’s website. Seems like a marketing page without any user facing product.

They seem to promote “it” as non-custodial and decentralized.

Open-source infrastructure, developer tooling, and a non-custodial digital asset platform — so developers and creators can build applications, control their data, and own their digital assets without centralized intermediaries.

Can you please educate me lorimer how does a project/protocol become non custodial and decentralized if the canisters owned by a single organization without SNS? Didn’t the founder publicly make a post few days ago about not launching an SNS and publicly declare about toko being centralized?

Doesn’t it introduce various trust assumptions without transparency? You are an advocate of decentralization and open source are you not? Lots of inaccuracies and inconsistencies with what you preach.

Happy to debate you on what standards you consider as “the best things”

Also if you’re not the owner of Toko or DKP canisters I think its best for the discourse if you do not interject where it is unnecessary. We aren’t debating co-delta or its user-base (assuming you are not a public company in production). I will tag you @Lorimer when I require your expertise  . However, the enthusiasm and interest is duly noted.

To be clear, I am holding DKP tokens, and would like to speak to the person that controls DKP canisters. But since you are unaware of SNS-1 launch and were not present during SNS-1 launch, SNS-1 was taken over (51%d) by Dragginz team and its ticker was changed to DKP.

Therefore if you have a bone to pick with me because of something else or my solicited comments yesterday related to England or Britain, then that’s for another thread/post. Although I must admit, I’m pretty bad at Geography, but just good enough and well versed with ICP and discourse.

It’s not launched yet. I’ll reserve judgement until I can actually see it and verify the details. I’m optimistic though.

Your optimism also duly noted. Now if you excuse me, I will wait for the actual discourse with substance. Hopefully I would not need a multi-sig memo or judgement from you or codeta for posting on this forums.

Let me know if I ever have to acquire a permission slip (preferably in another thread or dms) to post in this forums.

But I wouldn’t require co-deta’s (https://wtjj7-cyaaa-aaaar-qaozq-cai.icp0.io/) memo or unsolicited opinion to manage MY investments or to know whether I should continue staying optimistic about my DKP holdings or just sell them at a loss.

anyway, back to what I was saying: @TokoStudios

My advise would be not to waste your time with Lorimer, he’s the kind that would kiss anyone’s butt if it was in his personal benefit while pretending he’s unbiased and fair. Let’s hope Dragginz will release before the big liquidity event that’s coming in less than 2 years but I wouldn’t bet on it personally.
