Much more suspicious:
āAll funds will be locked and used exclusively for development.ā
Then, after collecting the money:
āWe never actually promised that. The funds can be used elsewhere (Like sue people who asked questions, didnt get them and started calling project a scam as founder refused to give needed info).ā
Especially if the original statement was deliberately designed to convince people to buy.
Even stronger evidence of fraud: the person had already decided before the sale that they would use the money elsewhere, but publicly advertised a different purpose to attract buyers.
