Users will pay for my services in cycles. Is there an established way to convert an arbitrary (or not so arbitrary) token into cycles? Some service that does that (through an API, I mean through shared calls)?

I am not aware of any service providing this right now. afaik this is on the roadmap of CycleOps, see following post by @icme Project Request: Pay with EVM/SOL to top up canisters - #4 by icme
