# Transferring fees ICP

Hello, could someone clarify how to manage transfer fees when using an ICRC ledger? Can I set the transfer fees to any amount I choose? Additionally, if I’m using the ICP ledger, does it have a default transfer fee, or can this be adjusted?

When deploying an ICRC or ICP ledger you typically need to choose those parameters. They can be as high as the data type the ledger uses allows for. The smallest that DFINITY builds is `u64`
