# Thank you people, getting rid of the ic: worked!

I looked at my dfx.json file and I do not find any canister ids there. There is a lot of good information, and paths to be sure, but not canister IDs. Can I use file paths?

You can find your canister ids here: `.dfx/local/canister_ids.json`.
