# Testing the Local Ledger Canister

Is it possible to test the local ledger canister with multiple mock accounts and mock ICP being transferred before going live?

Yes, you can follow the local setup instructions [here](https://internetcomputer.org/docs/current/developer-docs/integrations/ledger/ledger-local-setup), distribute initial tokens, and then do your tests from there
