You might remember us from our announcement in April / May.
As we approach the launch of the Swiss Subnet, several new node providers have the opportunity to join ICP with Gen-2 nodes!
As outlined in our Proposal to Commence the Swiss Subnet with 13 Nodes in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, we will launch with 13 nodes spread geographically across 10 Swiss cantons and 3 in Liechtenstein.
Swiss companies interested in participating in ICP and the Swiss Subnet as a node provider should submit their applications now. Contact us at team@subnet.ch or here on the forum for more information if you think you meet our requirements.
- The prospective node provider (NP) must be a Swiss-domiciled and Swiss-owned company (or is a Swiss foundation, university or government body). The NP must be independent from all other node providers (i.e. there can be no shared ownership, technicians, or material financing)
- The NP must have a data center provider in a suitable canton (only one NP per canton). Liechtenstein and the cantons AR, BE, GE, TI, VD, VS, ZG and ZH are already covered. However, feel free to get in touch anyway, as we may need more nodes soon.
- The NP must purchase a Gen-2 server from Swiss Subnet AG; delivery will begin in mid-July.
- The NP must also accept and satisfy all ICP requirements for node providers in general, e.g. Node Provider Roadmap - Internet Computer Wiki
Please note that, although while we are pre-selecting node providers to satisfy the Swiss Subnet NP requirements, all NPs and data centers will ultimately undergo the standard NNS process before their nodes are selected to create the Swiss Subnet.
Pre-selection is underway and we will finalize our list of Swiss Subnet node providers next week. If you are interested in running a Swiss Subnet node, contact us now at team@subnet.ch!
