Resources for studying IC architecture

I would like to take a deep dive into the IC architecture to really understand what happens under the hood.

For example a couple of things that I would like to read about: all the steps update/query calls have to go through, what software nodes run & how does it work, the consensus mechanism adopted, how is data stored ( and where ), etc…

Are there any resources that explain this well / good recomendations?
