Dear NNS community,
Proposals 136702 and 136703 were recently submitted to change parameters of NNS governance and to re-open the discussion on NNS voting rewards and tokenomics.
As the two proposals are essentially contradictory, and the ICP ecosystem has evolved since the original motion proposal to reduce the minimum dissolve delay to 3 months was adopted, the DFINITY Foundation has decided to reject Proposal 136702 to allow for a proper discussion.
While the DFINITY Foundation agrees with the intent of Proposal 136703—to re-open the discussion on NNS voting rewards and tokenomics—it will reject this proposal because it contains polemical language that has no place in a motion proposal. Instead, the DFINITY Foundation will submit a new proposal with the polemics removed, allowing the NNS community to vote on whether or not the discussion should be re-opened.
