Hello everyone 👋 I recently built PikoPoker, a No-Limit Texas Hold’em game that runs entirely on the Internet Computer. The game logic, the shuffle and the chips are all in a canister, with no off-chain server. What is PIKO? PIKO is a proof-of-work token on ICP. It has a fixed max supply of 21M and Bitcoin-style halvings, and anyone can mine it from their browser or with the native miner that use CPU/GPU. Part of it is burned, and part is converted into cycles that automatically top up the ecosystem’s canisters, including this poker game. Thanks for the interest! For now it’s PIKO only, and that’s on purpose. PIKO mining is what funds the cycles that keep the poker app canisters running, and that’s what will eventually let the whole thing run on its own without me. If I added BOB, players would just use BOB instead of PIKO. Fewer people would mine PIKO, and the poker site would be less able to cover its own hosting costs. Accepting other tokens would work against the very thing that keeps the game alive. BOBtards are very welcome to gamble with PIKO though 😄 Mine or buy some and come take a seat! ---

I once looked into how embedded channel would work in OC, it seems to lack the support of a stable identity. Would be totally confusing if the 3rd party site requires another login. ---

good idea ! I’m looking into embedding PikoPoker directly inside the OpenChat community, so you could play in it without leaving the chat, like the Windoge98 community does with their Desktop channel. 🃏 I’ve reached out to the OpenChat team to see how to set it up. ---

it’s done! 🙏 It’s not a native OpenChat feature like polls, but I’ve added the games as embedded channels in the PIKO OpenChat community, like the Windoge98 community does with their Desktop channel. You can now play right inside OpenChat: - 🃏 Poker - 🂡 Blackjack - 🎲 Dice - 🎨 PikoPixel (shared canvas and ad system) You log in with Internet Identity inside the channel, and it’s the same account as on the regular site, so your balance and history carry over. ---
