# Integrated Canister History 📜

 ![canister-history-external](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex023/uploads/dfn/original/3X/0/f/0fcbf3ce4787d54e15bbac6a853b45b34be8deb3.jpeg)

CycleOps is excited to announce a direct integration with [Research‑AG](https://x.com/mr_research_ag)’s canister History Tracker, allowing developers to connect memory spikes and cycle burn surges back to the exact deployments that triggered them.

## Highlights ✨

**Metric overlays:** Code change events are now layered directly onto your cycle balance chart–so you can easily

- spot the update that introduced a performance bug 🐛
- or show off the cycle savings from your code optimizations with the team 🙌

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex023/uploads/dfn/original/3X/7/3/73b744fcea20892de5690a29a25681cfedc2381f.png)

**History Timeline:** A full timeline of controller changes, installs, and upgrades with WASM hashes with the actor who made the change—perfect for audits and post-mortems

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex023/uploads/dfn/original/3X/3/a/3a00f258dcaeb083f3864864b9238148e4d89bc9.png)

Give it a spin – canister history is now live for all canisters monitored through CycleOps - no additional setup required 🎉

Is there a way to use it with a caffine ai canisters? I tried adding it but it says it needs to be added as a controller and i don’t know how to do that

A bit of a late reply, sorry, but unfortunately caffeine doesn’t allow you to set controllers on your canisters, as far as I know.

# Mobile UX Update 📱

We just pushed a broad set of fixes to the CycleOps mobile experience, and it finally feels properly usable on a phone. I’ve been using it away from my desk and it’s a night-and-day difference.

[![mobile-external](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex023/uploads/dfn/original/3X/5/b/5bd775d6abd6c15786abd06134674e4448c11579.jpeg)](https://x.com/CycleOps/status/2019077278219538819)

We posted a short X thread with 7 quick clips showing the flows in action: [https://x.com/CycleOps/status/2019077278219538819](https://x.com/CycleOps/status/2019077278219538819)

Feedback request:

1. Which mobile workflow matters most to you?
2. What still feels awkward / slow on mobile?
3. Any “on-the-go” flows you want us to prioritize next?

I’m currently just getting the spinny thing at the site on desktop.

Looking forward to the mobile version!

# New On CycleOps: Get Critical Canister Alerts pushed directly to your phone!

CycleOps can now send alerts straight to your phone 📱 or favorite browser 🖥

Push notifications work great alongside email alerts 📩 , so you can now add an additional, more familiar notification channel for top-up alerts 🚨 , low balance warnings, memory threshold alerts, and other critical canister alerts without changing your current setup 🎉

Once set up, you can add, label, and manage push notifications for multiple devices in an individual or team CycleOps account.

To learn more about how to set up push notifications on your CycleOps account - read more on the CycleOps changelog at [https://docs.cycleops.dev/changelog/push-notifications](https://docs.cycleops.dev/changelog/push-notifications)

## Want to set up push notifications for your ICP dapp?

CycleOps’ push notifications feature is powered by [research-ag’s notification service](https://github.com/research-ag/notification-service), an open-source web push stack for Internet Computer apps. If you want to bring push notifications to your app, visit the [research-ag/notification-service repository](https://github.com/research-ag/notification-service) for the integration and local development guide.

A big thanks to @timo and research-ag for creating up this invaluable ICP utility!

# New on CycleOps: Stay ahead of drifting canisters freezing thresholds 🥶 with Smart Top-up Rule Suggestions 🧠

As your canister’s memory increases, so does its freezing threshold - which can result in a frozen canister if you don’t regularly update your canister top-up configurations 😨 . Now you can stay ahead of changing canister freezing thresholds with [CycleOps](https://cycleops.dev)’s new smart, safer top-up rule suggestions that are easy to review and apply 🔋

Want to get started? CycleOps now automatically suggests new top-up rules for your canisters when an existing threshold is getting close to a freezing threshold, but leaves you in full control of making the top-up rule update with an easy-to-use wizard that takes just seconds to make the change 😎

[Learn more about maintaining healthy top-up rules on the CycleOps changelog](https://docs.cycleops.dev/changelog/prevent-canister-freezing) and give us your feedback on how we can improve this feature!
