# Ledger Canister not deploying

I get this error when i try to deploy the ledger canister while following the instructions on the [IC docs](https://internetcomputer.org/docs/current/developer-docs/integrations/ledger/ledger-local-setup).  
what am i possibly doing wrong

I have also tried using lower versions of dfx but the error persists

Step:1 Run this script to get the ledger wasm

```auto
#!/bin/bash

export IC_VERSION=d87954601e4b22972899e9957e800406a0a6b929

curl -o ledger.wasm.gz https://download.dfinity.systems/ic/$IC_VERSION/canisters/ledger-canister.wasm.gz

gunzip ledger.wasm.gz

```

Step2: You can get the candid file from [here](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dfinity/ic/d87954601e4b22972899e9957e800406a0a6b929/rs/rosetta-api/icp_ledger/ledger.did)

Step3: Configure your dfx.json

Step 4: Deploy the ledger canister using this script

dfx identity use minter
MINT_ACC=$(dfx ledger account-id)

Ohh thanks, this works now.

How come the one in the documentation doesnt??
