# Issue with controller of canisters created via NNS

Most of the time when i create a canister using NNS, i need to add more controllers to that canister. But most of the time, there are errors with the nns due to unstability and it ask to try after some time. Like currently i have been trying for last 1 hour, and i am getting same error.

In such cases, are there any other ways to add controller to the canisters which are created using nns?

If it is adopted, and everything goes well, the fix will take effect some time next Monday (14/10/2024). Do you have any other controllers on your canister? In which case, you can use dfx in the meantime to add or remove controllers.

is this issue fixed yet? Look forward to using this function.
