Hello everyone, **dfx 0.29.1** is promoted. You can install it with `dfxvm update`. Read the release notes [here](https://github.com/dfinity/sdk/releases/tag/0.29.1).

This release includes version 0.16.1 of Motoko; see the [0.16.0 release notes](https://github.com/dfinity/motoko/releases/tag/0.16.0).

It also has a new doc comment feature for Candid interface files:

```auto
// Type comments
type Ex = variant {
  // Variant comments
  Var: record {
    // Field comments
    field: nat;
  }
}
// Service comments
service : {
  // Method comments
  func : (Ex) -> ();
}
```

When bindings are generated for this interface using `dfx generate` (usually auto-invoked by `npm`), these comment types will turn into documentation comments in the generated code.

Hey @AdamS, quick question. Now that dfx has been using PocketIC as the default option for a while, is there a way to fast forward time after starting a replica with `dfx start`? (in the same way that you can do when using PocketIC direclty)

No. Messing around with time makes it hard to interact with the network normally, since the API requires you to know what time it is. This functionality of PocketIC is better suited for integration test usage with the pocket-ic Rust crate, where you can make all relevant calls through the admin interface.
