## Dfx 0.23.0 is promoted. You can read the release notes [here](https://github.com/dfinity/sdk/releases/tag/0.23.0).

Some highlights include:

- PocketIC has replaced the `icx-proxy` tool for dfx local development
- threshold schnorr signing for `Ed25519` is now enabled
- Dfx has a new `canister snapshot` command that can create, apply, and delete snapshots of stopped canisters
- introduces a canonical [extension catalog](https://github.com/dfinity/dfx-extensions/blob/main/catalog.json) for dfx extensions. Add yours to get your tool in front of more developers!
